The bird flu outbreak at Tsimasham in Chhukha has been brought under control according to the Incident Operation Centre at Tsimasham.
The last death in birds due to the flu was reported more than a week ago.
The bird flu outbreak was first reported on January 8 at Mebari village in Chhukha. Immediately, a team of officials moved in culling all the chickens to prevent its spread.
Till yesterday, the surveillance team visited 25 villages and provided compensation to around 130 poultry farm owners.
Meanwhile, officials are strictly monitoring the import of poultry products to ensure that poultry products are not brought into the country from the Indian states of Orissa and Meghalaya where a bird flu outbreak has been reported.
