Bhutanese athletes and officials who participated in the 48th Asian Bodybuilding Fitness and Physique Sports Championships in Macau arrived in the country, today.
The team was given a heroic welcome by their families, friends and officials from the Bhutan Bodybuilding and Weight Lifting Federation.
The Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also met with the athletes and officials at the Paro International Airport and congratulated the team.
Yeatoeh Lhamu Penjore, 23, won a bronze medal in women’s model physique in the 165 centimetre category.
Sangay Tsheltrim, also won a bronze in men’s athletic Physique, 175 centimeter plus 4 kilograms.
Tandin Wangchen, 38, came fourth in the super heavy weight category which is above 100 kilograms.
Over 300 athletes from over 40 countries participated in the 48th Asian Bodybuilding Fitness and Physique Sports Championships.
