Bhutan will have access to a few additional ports in Bangladesh and India to export boulders through cargo vessels. The Economic Affairs Minister said this during the question hour at the National Assembly today. The Minister said it would help reduce the existing issues thereby enhancing the boulders export.

“Dubri port was not enough and so we have asked and got the approval of two other ports in Jogighopa and Pandu in India. In Bangladesh, we had access to only one port at Narayanganj but now we have got the approval to use four to five more ports. These additional ports will help exporters a lot,” said Economic Affairs Minister Loknath Sharma.
