Bhutan Tendrel Party declares four more candidates

The Bhutan Tendrel Party has declared four more candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The candidates were declared in Thimphu today during the party’s first general assembly.

Dhan Bahadur Tamang is their candidate for the Kilkhorthang-Mendrelgang constituency in Tsirang. The 50-year-old has a Master’s in Education Management and Leadership from Mahidol University in Thailand.

He worked for twenty four years in the Education Ministry in various capacities such as a teacher and Principal in various schools across the country.

Prakash Sharma is the BTP’s candidate for the Lhamoi Dzingkha-Tashiding constituency of Dagana. The 50-year-old has a degree in Bachelor of Arts from Madras University in India and has over 18 years of working experience in various fields in the government and private sector.

Damche Tenzin will be contesting from the Thrimshing-Kangpar constituency in Tashigang. The 50-year-old has a Master’s in Law from the US.

Before joining politics, he was working as a General Counsel for the Royal Monetary Authority and under the same position at National Pension and Provident Fund before that. He also worked in the Royal Civil Service Commission and the banking sector.

And Lamdra Wangdi is the BTP’s candidate for the Nganglam constituency in Pemagatshel. The 54-year-old has a Master’s in Education from St. Xavier University in Canada and has served in various positions including as a District Education Officer in Bumthang, Drungpa in Jomotsangkha and principal in various schools in the country.
