Bhutan lost to Sri Lanka 2-3 in their opening match of the ongoing SAFF Under-15 Championship 2019 held at Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata, India yesterday.
Despite scoring two early goals and leading until the start of the second half, the young Bhutanese team failed to stop the Sri Lankan side to make comeback into the game.
Team Sri Lanka overturned the 2-0 lead by equalising in the 73rd minute and scoring the winning goal in the additional minute of the second half.
The match ended 3-2 in favour of Sri Lanka. Bhutan will now play against the defending champions, Bangladesh tomorrow.
