According to the police, the owners of Bhutan Employment Overseas confessed, during interrogation, to forging bank statements of the students who were sent to Japan through the “Learn and Earn” programme.
However, an official from Thimphu police said, the statement may get altered when it reaches the court. Some reliable sources told BBS that while inquiring about seals and signatures of the bank statements, it was found that the owners themselves forged the seals and signature. Forging of bank statement is one of the points stated in the letter submitted to the police by the parents’ committee on 26th of last month.
