Bazaguru-YangtseThe annual Baza Guru Recitation at the Chorten Kora in Trashi Yangtse is underway. A clean environment drive is being carried out alongside the Baza Guru ceremony, presided over by His Eminence Khamtrul Rinpoche.

His Eminence, who is behind the clean environment drive, said polluting environment, which is home to humans and animals, is against Buddhism.

As part of the initiative, devotees are also being discouraged from bringing packaged offerings to prevent environment pollution.

The annual Baza Guru recitation at the Chorten Kora was first initiated in 2009. It is held every year from the 15th day of 1st Bhutanese month and concludes with the Namgang Kora festival.
