Livestock officials are suspecting an anthrax outbreak as the cause of the death of 11 cattle in Gongdue Gewog in Monggar.
The death of the cattle was reported to the gewog livestock officials on Friday.
The livestock in charge said although it is yet to be confirmed, they suspect an anthrax outbreak as the likely cause.
As a precaution, the dead cattle have been buried and the uninfected animals treated with antibiotics and quarantined.
