An eight-year-old girl living with disabilities died in a house fire yesterday in Kakaniwog under Bidoong Gewog, Trashigang. She was living with her grandparents who were not in the house during the incident.
Investigators believe a butter lamp caused the fire.
Firefighters were dispatched but found the house engulfed in flames and smoke. The body was found inside the house. Dzongkhag disaster provided emergency relief kits and semso from kidu office. Officials believe the fire was accidental.
