A 30-year-old woman died on the spot when the car she was driving veered off the road in Trongsa yesterday.

The accident took place at around 11 am near Dorji Goenpa, which is about 21 kilometres from Trongsa towards Bumthang.

There were four passengers, the deceased’s three siblings and her two-year-old daughter at the time of the accident.  They escaped with minor injuries and are in stable condition.

Police suspect foggy weather to have caused the accident.
