A camp housing 10 labourers at Lingzhi Charzheythang was razed down by a fire yesterday at around 3.10 pm. The camp is under the Lingzhi Dzong renovation project under Thimphu Dzongkhag.
The fire is suspected to have started from an electrical short circuit. All the belongings have been lost to the fire.
According to officials, the site supervisor has arranged food, lodging and clothing for the victims with the help of other labourers.
Meanwhile, the Lingzhi Dzong project will be distributing warm clothes to the victims today. Moreover, the Thimphu Dzongkhag has mobilised disaster kits, clothes and necessities which will reach the site by tomorrow.
