The high altitude paddy cultivation was successful in Chamkhar valley in Bumthang after it was started since 2004. A farmer in Gyaltsa village in Chhumig Gewog is also trying his hands on growing paddy for the very first time in his village.
However, as his village is on a relatively higher altitude compared to Chamkhar or other parts of Chhumig Gewog, he is unsure of the outcome but he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.
