A single-storey house belonging to a family was completely razed down by a fire in Kakpadoong village under Martshala Gewog yesterday at around 6:00 AM.

All the belongings were lost to the fire, however, no casualties have been reported and the cause of the fire is not known.

Meanwhile, the hut is insured with the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan, and the Martshala Gewog administration has provided the family with the necessary support.
