A 56-year-old man and his 46-year-old wife were attacked by a bear yesterday at Boegarnang under Kawang Gewog in Thimphu.

The incident happened at around 4:30 pm when the couple went to fix their water pipes above their home. Although the wife escaped with minor injuries, the man suffered major injuries on his face. He is still recovering in the National Referral Hospital while his wife had been discharged last night.
