An old Namgay Khangzang Chorten in Geylegkha_Kuenzangling chiwog under Nyishog Gewog, Wangdue Phodrang was vandalised on the night of September 14th.
According to the villagers, nobody knows what relics were there in the Chorten, which is about 20 feet tall, and what relics have been stolen on that night. The chiwog tshogpa says some miscreant(s) tried vandalising the same Chorten once earlier in June this year. Today, the Chiwog has eight old Chortens. Some of the Chortens were apparently vandalized a long time ago.
Police are investigating the case.
