A boy, 13, drowned yesterday after falling into Paa Chu from a suspension bridge in Paro. The accident had occurred at around 12 pm in Tsento Gewog.

The deceased had gone out for a picnic with his friends. While trying to cross the abandoned bridge, a plank from the bridge broke and he fell off the bridge. His body was recovered after 2 hours, from a kilometre downstream.

The deceased’s family has been informed. The Police have ruled out foul play.
