Dagana police arrested a 20-year-old man from Dagana on 11th June in connection with 18 different burglary cases. The suspect is a student studying in class ten in one of the schools in Dagana.
Dagana police recovered stolen items belonging to 18 individuals from the suspect on the 11th of this month. The lost items include electronic gadgets like mike, soundbox, mobile phones and accessories, ornaments, jewellery, few foreign currencies and few religious items. The items were lost from towards the end of 2017 till this year. Of the 18 individuals, five have lodged a complaint with the police while 13 individuals did not report to the police.
According to police, the suspect has confessed to the crimes. Lack of proper attention from parents, drugs and alcohol abuse are attributed to the suspect’s crimes.
Police urge the general public to report any crimes at the earliest since many cases go unreported in the initial phases of crimes, which then results in a series of crime. The suspect is currently in custody.
