A single storied house in Chengmari Geog in Samtse has been razed by a fire last night.

It is suspected to have started from a make shift stove outside the house where the occupants boil the cattle fodder.

The incident took place at around 11.45pm.

It took the neighbours and the police about an hour to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby houses.

Chengmari is about 10 kilometres from Samtse town.
