Bhutan will receive an award for Good Governance from the World Peace Mission on the International Day of Peace in September, this year.

The mission is a non-governmental organisation based in Bangladesh, which believes in spreading peace across the globe.

The Chairman of the World Peace Mission, Dr. Kamal Kumar Sha, who was recently in the Kingdom said Bhutan is one the peaceful countries, of the 37 countries they have researched and visited so far.

He along with this vice-chairman was in the country to invite the government for the World Peace Conference, which will be held in Dhaka on September 21.

The mission is funded by the UN Foundation Centre, New York.
