BoB starts KIOSK banking service

bob-starts-kiosk-banking-serviceBank of Bhutan (BoB) has started automated banking services in Thimphu. It is a self-service facility which allows clients to conduct their own banking transaction at their convenience.

The KIOSK banking service located near the clock tower will facilitate its clients to conduct basic banking services such as cash withdrawal, cash deposit, fund transfer and other services available through ATM.

BoB’s Chief Executive Officer, Pema Namgyal Nadik said the facility speed to banking transactions of their clients at anytime of the day.

“Anybody can come and do their banking in the KIOSK. They can withdraw money. They can deposit money. They can do transfer if they are internet banking customer…”

He said the Bank of Bhutan will replicate KIOSK services in other dzongkhags if it becomes popular amongst people in Thimphu.

KIOSK will also serve as foreign exchange counter and allow passbook printing during the normal banking hours.
