hit-and-run-paroA 25-year-old man from Tsirang is under police custody for a hit-and-run case in Paro. The accused, driving a tripper truck, allegedly hit an oncoming taxi injuring both the driver and a passenger and then fled the scene.

The incident had occurred at around 6:30 PM in Shaba Gewog.

Both the victims were taken to the hospital, but the driver who was critical was referred to Thimphu hospital.

The other passenger was in a stable condition, last night.

The driver was later arrested from a construction camp site.

Police are carrying out investigations.
