They listened to the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay in rapt attention as Lyonchhen took them along the adventures of Pinocchio, yesterday.

The visit to the centre was part of Prime Minister’s tour to Trongsa, Sarpang and Wangdue Phodrang.

While in Wangdue Phodrang, the Prime Minister addressed the Desuups at the Military Training Centre in Tencholing. He highlighted the importance of Desuups and their contribution to the society as volunteers.

Close to 130 DeSuups are undergoing the five-week training.pm-wangduedzongconstructionsite

Prime Minister also visited the Wangdue Dzong reconstruction site.

As of now, more than 30 percent of the dzong’s physical structure is complete. The Nu 1 B project is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.

The Government of India is funding the project.
