Health Walk raises Nu 11.6 M

HealthWalk The Move for Health walk this year in Thimphu raised Nu 11.6 M. Her Majesty the Queen Mother Sangay Choden Wangchuck graced the occasion. Hundreds walked from Royal Thimphu College to clock tower square. The walk is to promote healthy lifestyle and to raise funds for the Bhutan Health Trust Fund.HealthWalk-

At the clock tower square, various organizations, agencies, ministries and individuals donated money for the Bhutan Health Trust Fund.

The government is now formally launching the financing of essential drugs and medicines through the Bhutan Health Trust Fund money.

Move for Health Walk was first initiated by the former Health minister, Sangay Ngedup, in 2002 raising almost US$ 2 M.
