Nangkha Nangdrig training begins

Nangkha Nangdrig training begins-The President of the Bhutan National Legal Institute, Her Royal Highness, Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck graced the opening of training on Nangkha Nangdrig or mediation in Chhukha, today.

Over 90 Chiwog Tshogpas from Chhukha and Thimphu Dzongkhags are being trained in Nangkha Nangdrig.

The Bhutan National Legal Institute first trained 205 Mangmis in 2012. The following year 130 female local leaders were also trained.

The six-day long training is expected to enhance community involvement in the dispute resolution process. It is also to provide effective disputes resolution.

Participants will be trained to mediate disputes in the communities and analyze issues in disputes and devise solutions.

The training is being organized by the Bhutan National Legal Institute.
