His Majesty says corruption is the biggest concernHis Majesty the King said corruption is the biggest concern while working for the country’s future development. His Majesty was addressing the nation during the National Day celebration in Kanglung, yesterday.

His Majesty the King began his address by highlighting the significance of observing the National Day.

His Majesty said the day is an opportunity to thank the parents for their hard work in building the nation.

His Majesty said it is also an opportunity to understand the current situation of the country and to work united as one for country’s future development.


His Majesty thanked His Majesty the fourth Druk Gyalpo for his selfless service to the nation and offered prayer for His Majesty the fourth Druk Gyalpo’s long life.

His Majesty the King also spoke on the country’s socio-economic development. His Majesty the King said the nation is still recovering for increasing national debt and rupee crises issues.

His Majesty said good governance should be strengthened.

His Majesty also said corruption is one of his biggest concerns.

His Majesty thanked the His Holiness the Je Khenpo for conducting the religious activities across the country.

His Majesty also thanked the Zhung Dratsang and armed forces for their selfless services to the nation.
