The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, and Indian Ambassador, Gautam Bambawale, offered prayers and lit a thousand butter lamps at the Kuenrey in Tashichhodzong, today.
The butter lamps were for the flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir in India.
The Cabinet Ministers, Opposition Leader and other senior officials also joined them in offering butter lamps.
The flood, the worst to have hit Jammu and Kashmir in 60 years, killed more than 200 people.
