Four abducted from Norbugang in SarpangYet another abduction took place in Sarpang Dzongkhag. This time four of them, two teenagers and two men, were abducted. The incident took place in Norbugang village under Shompangkha Gewog, last night.

The village is on the Sarpang-Gelegphu highway. It is about 300 metres away from the border.

Among the four abducted, two were students of Sarpang Higher Secondary School and the other two were farmers aged 56 and 57. The two teenagers are cousins.

Family members said there were about thirty armed men dressed in camouflage.

The 56-year-old man and his family were having dinner, when the armed men barged into their house and took the man and his 24-year-old son. The son was, however, released a few hours after abduction.

The 57-year-old man who lived nearby was taken when he went out to check the commotion. The two boys had gone out to take bath, when the incident took place.

Family members said the armed men also searched the houses and enquired about the male members of the family.

Meanwhile, the family members have received phone calls demanding for an undisclosed amount as ransom.

This is the first abduction case reported this year.
