His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, their Majesties the Queen Mothers and their Royal Highness the Princes and Princesses attended the Namgay Tongchoed prayers at the Kuenray of the Tashichhodzong, yesterday.
The prayers were performed by monks from the central monastic body led by Dorji Lopon.
Following the prayers, His Majesty the fourth Druk Gyalpo, the members of the royal family then circumambulated the Namgaymi Kilkhor.
Meanwhile, the tooth relic of Sangay Yoedsung and other sacred relics were also put up for public veneration at the courtyard of the Tashichhodzong.
Guru Tshengay Thongdrel was also unfurled for public veneration.
Hundreds of devotees received blessings from the throngdrel.
