Youth from SAARC countries meet in Thimphu

SAARC-SAYENYouth representatives from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri-Lanka are attending the 8thregional meeting of South Asian Youth Environment Network in Thimphu. Youth representatives are discussing environmental related issues in the South Asian countries.

The meeting is also a platform for the youth to sort out ways from their perspectives to contribute meaningfully towards environmental preservation and its sustainability.

During the last day of meeting tomorrow, youth representatives will come up with draft recommendation on environmental preservation for UN’s post 2015 agenda.
