Thimphu FC and Namlha FC have qualified for this year’s Bhutan Premier League after finishing as the top two teams in the BOB Bhutan Premier League Qualifiers. The two clubs will now join the top eight teams from last season’s league when the new Bhutan Premier League season begins next month.

Thimphu FC topped the qualifiers table with 13 points, while Namlha FC finished second with 12 points.

Thimphu FC secured the top spot with four wins and a draw from five matches. In their final match today, they defeated BFF U-17 4-0.

Meanwhile, Namlha FC recorded four wins and one defeat during the qualifiers. The team sealed their qualification with a 2-nil victory over Samdrup Jongkhar FC in their final match yesterday.

Samdrup Jongkhar FC finished third on the table with 10 points from three wins, one draw and one defeat, narrowly missing out on qualification.

The remaining teams failed to secure promotion. Thimphu Raven FC finished with six points, while United Phuentsholing FC ended in fifth place with three points. BFF U-17 lost all their matches and remained at the bottom of the standings.

With the qualifiers concluded, both teams will now prepare to compete against the country’s top clubs when the Bhutan Premier League kicks off next month.
