The race for a place in the Bhutan Premier League is intensifying as the BOB Bhutan Premier League Qualifiers reach their midway stage. Namlha FC leads the standings with 10 points after four matches. Six teams are competing for the two available spots in this year’s Bhutan Premier League.
Namlha FC leads the standings with three wins and one draw, remaining unbeaten so far in the qualifiers.
Close behind is Thimphu FC with seven points from three matches, having secured two wins and a draw.
New entrant Samdrup Jongkhar FC are in third place with six points from two matches after winning both of their games.
Another new entrant, United Phuentsholing FC, is placed fourth with three points from three matches.
Thimphu Raven FC sits in fifth place with three points from four matches.
Meanwhile, BFF U-17 remain at the bottom of the table with no points from four matches and a goal difference of minus nine.
With several matches still to be played, the race for qualification remains open until next week. The two qualified teams will join the top eight clubs from the last season in the Bhutan Premier League, which begins next month.
