The Corporate Income Tax rate took a turn in the National Assembly today. During the final endorsement, the House unanimously supported the government’s proposal to set the CIT rate at 22 per cent. This marked a reversal from yesterday’s decision. The members yesterday narrowly voted in favour of the Economic and Finance Committee’s recommendation to reduce the rate to 20 per cent, with 22 members backing the lower rate and 21 supporting the government’s proposal.
