DNT declares three more candidates

The Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa revealed three more candidates today. The candidates will represent the party from constituencies in Lhuentse, Samtse and Zhemgang. The party has declared nine candidates so far.

Forty-one-year-old Sonam Dargay from Ladrong village will represent the party from the Maenbi-Tsenkhar constituency in Lhuentse. He has a Bachelor of Information and Technology from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in India. Before joining the party, he worked as the chief executive officer for one of the private computer companies in the country.

 

 

Likewise, Ngawang Nidup is the party’s candidate from the Phuntshopelri-Samtse constituency in Samtse. The 32-year-old entrepreneur holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Lovely Professional University in India. He contested in the 2018 National Council elections.

 

 

And, Sonam Leki was declared as the party’s candidate for the Bardo-Trong constituency in Zhemgang. The 43-year-old has a bachelor of education from the Samtse College of Education and worked as a teacher for over a decade. He was the party’s candidate for the 2018 election and also contested in the last two National Council elections.
