The country’s budding technological sector will continue to receive assistance from India’s expanding digital economy. The Ambassador of India to Bhutan, Sudhakar Dalela, assured this during the India-Bhutan Technology Roundtable held on Tuesday. India has announced a concessional rate for the third international internet gateway for Bhutan. This is expected to cut down the cost of connectivity in Bhutan. The Indian government is also assisting Bhutan with about Nu 2bn for the Digital Drukyul flagship programme.
