Indian foreign secretary inaugurates two projects – Digital Drukyul & Upgraded Central Schools

The Indian foreign secretary, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, jointly inaugurated two projects today.

The first project, Digital Drukyul, aims to harness the power of ICT to transform Bhutan into an innovative and inclusive society. The Indian government made generous assistance of over Nu 1bn to develop four components of this project.

The second project inaugurated today, worth almost Nu 2bn, is Upgraded Central Schools. Under this project, infrastructure across 58 central schools in the country will be developed and renovated. The project also includes water supply, procurement of furniture, vehicles and ICT equipment for central schools.
