According to global reports, some 800 million girls and women menstruate everyday worldwide. Although period or menstruation is a natural process, talking openly about it is considered as an uncomfortable topic.
To highlight the stigma and taboo related to menstruation, our producer Sonam Dema interviewed a Bhutanese nun Namgyel Lhamo, Karma Wangchuk from Menstrual Hygiene Bhutan and a Buddhist researcher Choten Dorji.
