Tashi Wangdi bowed out of the Asia Oceania Olympic Boxing Qualifying Tournament held in Jordan after suffering a defeat in the preliminary round yesterday.
Fighting in the Men’s Flyweight category, Tashi Wangdi lost to 19-year-old Thailand’s Thitisan Panmod, who is the AIBA Youth World Champion. The qualifiers event which began on Tuesday features over 200 boxers from Asia all fighting for 63 spots at this summer’s Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo.
