Jomotshangkha police in Samdrup Jongkhar arrested a 42-year-old man for attempting to smuggle marijuana on September 18.
Police found 133 kilograms of dry marijuana, which he has allegedly hidden in the jungle located about a kilometre away from Jomotshangkha town.
The suspect was later arrested from the town. Police seized about 5 milligrams of dry marijuana from his single cabin bolero.
The suspect is the Mingiwoong Chiwog tshogpa of Serthig Gewog. He was arrested following a tip-off.
