The Royal Institute Management, RIM, in collaboration with Canberra University, Australia commenced the first masters’ course in Thimphu. Thirty-seven students from various sectors are undergoing the masters’ course in Public Administration and Management.
The two master courses have two stages. Stage I is for graduate with about two years’ experience and stage II are for students with postgraduate diplomas or substantive expertise. While stage II commenced today, stage one will begin from September.
There are 13 course units including a unit in Gross National Happiness and a Master Degree Dissertation. For the stage II students, they will have an opportunity to go and study three units in the University of Canberra in Australia.
The fees for stage I and II are Nu. 84,000 and Nu. 1,40,000 respectively.
