Punakha Police and the locals fished out the body of a 25-year-old man from Punatshangchhu River, below Lekithang school in the afternoon yesterday.
Police officials said along with the medical team, they examined the body and ruled out any foul play. Police handed over the body to the deceased’s sister, who lodged police complaint about his disappearance on April 15, a day after he went missing.
The victim was suffering from mental illness.
