The 8th session of the parliament began this morning. The opening was graced by His Majesty the King.
Her Majesty the Queen also attended the parliament for the first time after the royal wedding.
His Majesty was received by the Prime Minster, the National Assembly speaker, the chairperson of the National Council, the Opposition Leader and the members of the parliament, and Their Royal Highnesses the Princes and Princesses and ushered into the national assembly hall in chipdrel ceremony.
The Prime Minister, the chairperson of the national council, the opposition leader and the National Assembly speaker expressed their gratitude to His Majesty the King and Queen.
In the afternoon the National Council session commenced amidst traditional ceremony.
