After losing in the final last Championship the under 19 women’s National cricket team is training rigorously for the upcoming Asian Cricket Cup. The championship will be held in Kuwait in February.

The team members say they are vying for the top slot this year.

The Championship will be the third one for the National under 19 team. They had played the last one in Singapore, 2010 where they emerged the first runners-up.

This time they want to bring home the winning trophy. The coach, Damber S. Gurung said they are focusing on physical fitness of the players. According to him, physical fitness is what the team members lack.

The team will soon be heading to Punakha for more training.
