Tandin Tshewang of Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School and Tshering Chenzom of Zilukha Middle Secondary School bags gold medal in the open category of the Thimphu Karate Championship 2017.
They were also awarded cash prizes.
Over 50 students took part in the two-day championship, which ended yesterday in the capital. The students were from Phuentshogling, Paro and Thimphu.
Thimphu Karate Association organised the championship to engage students during their summer break and to build confidence, discipline and for self-defence.
