A driver and a handy boy were killed when the truck they were travelling in went off the road and plunged into the Punatshangchu river. The accident occurred at around 9:30 pm yesterday, five kilometres from Wangdue check post towards Tsirang.
The bodies of the deceased along with the truck could not be found as the river has swollen.
Family members, police and the staff of Punatshangchu hydro power project are still looking for the bodies.
