Two boys, a six-year-old and a 15-year-old, were killed this morning when the room they were sleeping in got buried under a landslide at Singye village under Sampheling Geog in Chhukha.

The incident occurred at around 2 am today. The mother of the six-year-old boy has been critically injured and is being treated at the Phuentsholing hospital.

Her brother who was sleeping in the kitchen is also being treated at the Phuentsholing hospital for head injuries.

Our reporter Dechen Wangmo in Phuentsholing says it has been raining heavily for more than a day now.

Meanwhile, the old Pasakha bridge has been completely washed away.
