The wet weather condition is set to continue for another three days, forecasts the National Centre for Hydrology and Meteorology (NCHM). However, the rainfall is expected to be not as heavy as it has been in the past week.

Tayba B Tamang, the Deputy Chief Meteorology of the Weather Forecast Services, Weather and  Climate Services Division, said the country is likely to experience  a rainfall of 10 to 30mm in the next 72 hours.

“When I say there will be fair weather coming up, maybe there will be light to moderate rainfall,” he added. He said some places could see slides and road blocks but it will not be as bad as it was in the past week.

This year, the monsoon season started from June 5 and it will end around September.

Incessant rainfall in the past week has wreaked havoc across the country. Landslides and massive boulders blocked roads,  resulting in traffic chaos in many parts of the country.
