32 arrested for drug cases in one month

Thimphu police apprehended 32 people for alleged involvement in drug related cases, in the last one month alone.

The suspects, all in their 20s and 30s, were arrested from the town area.

More than 400 capsules and over 250 packets of marijuana dried leaves were seized from the suspects.

Of the total, 10 suspects including a female was detained for illicit trafficking of controlled substances while the 22 drug abusers were handed over to the Bhutan Narcotics Control Authority for treatment.
