A football tournament titled “Babu’s Rolling Trophy” has been underway at Yurung Central School in Pema Gatshel, since Saturday.

Some 9 teams are kicking ball in the competition which will be held for over a month.

The matches are being played during weekends since players have other commitments to fulfill during weekdays and also to avoid disturbances during school time.

Such tournament is being organised to commemorate the founder of the school, Late Bahu Tashi. The former Chief Justice of Bhutan, Lyonpo Sonam Tobgye has provided financial support for the tournament. It has been an annual sporting affair since 2015.
