11 schools take part in sports meet

Some 350 students from 11 schools of Samdrup Jongkhar took part in the Dzongkhag school sports meet at Garpawoong Middle Secondary School. The three-day event ended yesterday.

Students took part in various outdoor and indoor games and sports. It is to provide opportunities for students to showcase their talent and to improve their self-esteem.

Winning teams and individuals will take part in regional sports meet in Samdrup Jongkhar which will be held in October this year.
