67 aspiring NC candidates in the 2013 elections

NC-Aspiring-CandidatesA total of 67 candidates will be the contesting in the upcoming national council elections. Sixty two are male and only 5 are female candidates.

Samtse dzongkhag has the highest number of candidates contesting in the NC elections. There are seven candidates from Samtse, followed by Tsirang with six candidates.

While Zhemgang, Paro and Sarpang have five candidates each, Bumthang and Haa each have four candidates contesting in the elections.

Wangdue Phodrang, Gasa, Pemagatshel, Monggar, Samdrup Jongkhar, Thimphu and Trongsa have three candidates each.

There are two candidates each from Chhukha, Lhuentse, Punakha and Trashiyangtse.

Dagana and Trashigang are the only two Dzongkhags with one candidate each.
